Our Small NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are significantly smaller than our Medium CalciGrubs, making them an excellent primary food source for tiny reptiles, baby reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and birds. They can be kept at room temperature or cooled to extend shelf life. Ideal cooling spots include wine coolers or areas near air vents, as standard refrigerators may be too cold (below 55°F) and harm them.
Handy Tip: If some grubs start turning black, they’re nearing the "fly" stage. Allow them to transform into flies for a fun treat! Your pet will enjoy chasing these slow-moving flies, providing great stimulation. Even if your pet isn’t fond of grubs, they might love the flies!
