Zoo Med ReptiTemp Rheostat
Reptiles, being ectothermic or "cold-blooded," cannot generate their own body heat and depend on external sources like sunlight to regulate their temperature. Different species have unique temperature needs — a level ideal for a bearded dragon might be harmful to a crested gecko. Therefore, managing the heat in your reptile’s habitat is crucial for their well-being.
With the Zoo Med ReptiTemp Rheostat, you can adjust the heat or light output of your devices manually using a simple control dial. It supports up to two incandescent or halogen bulbs, as well as ceramic heat emitters, for tailored temperature control.
Important: This device is not a thermostat. For precise temperature regulation in a reptile or amphibian enclosure, consider the Zoo Med ReptiTemp Digital Thermostat.
Reminder: Neither thermostats nor rheostats can boost a heat source beyond its capacity. If the maximum output of your heat source is insufficient, opt for a higher wattage option.
Maximum wattage capacity: 150w total
