Reptiles, being ectothermic or "cold-blooded," depend on external heat sources, such as the sun, to regulate their body temperature. Different species have unique temperature needs — a temperature ideal for a bearded dragon might be harmful to a leopard gecko. Therefore, maintaining the correct temperature in your pet’s habitat is crucial for their health.

The Zoo Med ReptiTemp Digital Thermostat offers a reliable non-proportional (on/off) control system with dual "Heat" and "Cool" settings to manage the climate in your reptile or amphibian’s enclosure. The "Heat" setting activates heating equipment like heat pads or ceramic emitters when needed, while the "Cool" setting operates cooling devices such as fans. It supports up to 600w for heating devices and 150w for cooling devices, with a temperature range of 50°F to 122°F.

This thermostat includes an easy-to-read LCD screen, simple two-button programming, memory backup for power outages, and a safety alarm for extreme temperature fluctuations.

Power Capacity: 600w (heating) or 150w (cooling)

Usage Guide:

Position the remote sensor probe in the area of the terrarium where temperature control is desired. For instance, place it at the basking area to monitor heat levels or at the cooler end to regulate substrate temperature. Adjust the mode on the thermostat based on the target zone.

Important: Thermostats and rheostats do not enhance the heat output of a device. If your heating equipment isn’t sufficient at its highest setting, consider a higher wattage option.

For safe operation, refer to the detailed instruction manual provided with the product.
