Our Small NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are significantly smaller than our Medium CalciGrubs, making them an ideal daily food source for tiny reptiles, baby reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and birds. They can be kept at room temperature or cooled to extend their shelf life. Use a wine cooler, regular cooler, or place them near an air vent for optimal storage. Avoid standard refrigerators as temperatures below 55°F may harm them.
Handy Tip: If some grubs start turning black, they’re nearing the "fly" stage. Allow them to transform into flies for a fun hunting experience for your pet. These slow-moving flies are easy prey and provide great enrichment. Even if your pet isn’t fond of the grubs, they might enjoy the flies!
