Exo Terra Thermostat, 100w
Reptiles, being ectothermic or "cold-blooded," cannot generate their own body heat and depend on external heat sources, such as the sun, to maintain their bodily functions. Different reptile species require specific temperature ranges — a temperature ideal for a leopard gecko might be harmful to a ball python. Therefore, monitoring and controlling the temperature in your reptile’s habitat is crucial for their well-being.
The Exo Terra Thermostat is an on/off, non-proportional thermostat designed to regulate the temperature of non-light emitting heat sources, including ceramic heat emitters, under-tank heaters, heat panels, and heat cables.
Featuring a recessed dial to avoid unintended temperature adjustments during handling, this thermostat also includes a waterproof sensor suitable for humid terrariums or aquatic setups. Its electronic Triac switch ensures precise temperature control, maintaining the set temperature with superior accuracy compared to traditional thermostats, and significantly reducing temperature fluctuations in the enclosure.
How to Use:
Plug your heat source into the Exo Terra ON/OFF Thermostat, adjust to the desired temperature, and position the sensor in the appropriate location within the terrarium. A Red LED indicator will illuminate when the heat source is active and turn off once the target temperature is achieved.
Always tailor the Exo Terra Thermostat settings to your reptile’s specific needs. Research the preferred optimum temperature range (POTR) for your pet to establish the right temperature gradient in their habitat for proper thermoregulation.
Note: The 100w Exo Terra Thermostat is compatible with heating devices up to 100w.
